This weekend retreat is designed for business women who are ready to fine tune their focus on conscious leadership, create a clear intention for their lives and businesses, and explore what it truly means to live an empowered, authentic life within a dynamic community of like-minded women.

Your Teachers


Sandy Bartow

Sandy is a leading expert in women’s initiatives and certified I AM Yoga Nidra professional facilitator.  A long-time entrepreneur, she co-founded and led two women’s business centers and retired as president of the JAX Chamber Foundation.

Sandy received the U.S. Small Business Administration’s national Women in Business Advocate Award for the Year 2002, was named Women’s Business Advocate of the Year for the State of Kansas in 2002, and was honored by Wayne State University as national Business Instructor of the Year in 2001. Sandy is a Jacksonville Business Journal 2006 Women of Influence Honoree and received the individual mentor award at the 2007 Jacksonville Business Journal’s Mosaic Awards. She is a graduate of the 2007 Leadership Jacksonville Class, served as chair of the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women, was a finalist for the 2014 EVE Award in the employment category and was selected as an honoree on the 2015 Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women, Women’s History Month poster. In 2015, Sandy was appointed to the National Association of Women Business Owners® (NAWBO®) Institute Board of Directors.

Currently, Sandy speaks and consults nationally on success in entrepreneurship, women’s initiatives, meditation and mindfulness practices, and leadership. She also hosts retreats for business women focusing on integrating meditation, mindful practices and intention into their busy days, resulting in full, centered, strong and peaceful lives.



Sonya Thomlinson (Uchita)

An avid student of yoga since 1994, Sonya has led trainings, workshops, retreats and classes throughout Canada and the US. A well-respected teacher, Sonya lived and studied at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health from 1998-2003 as well as served as the Director of Program Operations producing over 500 Yoga and Health Programs and Conferences for over 30,000 guests annually. From 2003-2016, Sonya was the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Tandava Yoga and Trinity Yoga Centers in Kelowna and Vernon BC. Sonya is a Co-Founder and Educator for Take a Breath, a relaxation and stress reduction program for schools and is also currently supporting the growth and mission of the Amrit Yoga Institute through administration and education.

The Amrit Yoga Institute is located in Salt Springs, Florida, amid the tranquil beauty of the Ocala National Forest on Lake Kerr, a spring-fed lake of nearly 3,000 acres. Beneath a canopy of towering Live Oaks, the six-acre campus features lush tropical gardens, stone decks and walkway, and a peaceful sand beach. The property includes a Main House, Lodge, two small cabins and the new Ayurveda Center, to accommodate our offices, programs, and guests. The food we serve is not only vegetarian and organic, most is from a local farm.
This secluded haven offers the ideal setting for a retreat of self-discovery and exploration of life’s mysteries, away from the distractions of day-to-day life. Here you can immerse yourself in a supportive, nurturing environment, and emerge enriched and transformed.
