Biography

Joe studied and practiced hatha yoga for 2 years in Philadelphia under Iyengar trained instructors before meeting Gurudev Shri Amritji in 2000. This meeting revolutionized his understanding and his practice of yoga and meditation, extending its principles and techniques into everyday life. He began training directly under this self-realized master – living, working and studying at the Amrit Yoga Institute. He has taught hatha yoga and meditation for over 8 years, and has taught as an Amrit Method® Yoga certified instructor since 2003. Joe’s teaching emphasizes correct alignment and posture along with a non-competitive, meditative approach which allows the experience of relaxation and fulfillment through the practice of physical postures.
