Since ancient times, there have always been schools dedicated to preserving and teaching the very highest truths and mysteries of life — places where people could go to remove themselves from the distractions of day-to-day life and one-pointedly immerse themselves in a supportive, nurturing environment, emerging enriched and transformed.

Today, and especially in the West, this tradition has been largely replaced by schools that almost exclusively emphasize rational learning. We find very few schools that focus on discovering the real nature of the Self. The Amrit Yoga Institute is such a place, dedicated to serving and awakening the very highest within all who come here with trainings, workshops, and spiritual lifestyle opportunities that nurture the soul.

We are located about 2 hours from Jacksonville and Orlando International airports, which serves Disney World, Sea World and MGM Studios, and offers easy and economical travel opportunities to our program participants. The property is just over an hours' drive from Gainesville and attractions such as Daytona Beach and the historical city of St. Augustine. Salt Springs, which is one of nature's miracles, is only ½ mile away. This natural spring pours forth millions of gallons of sparkling, crystal clear water every day. The temperature is a constant 72ºF all year round. Within a short drive are the attractions of Silver Springs with its world famous glass bottom boat rides and water parks.

The purpose of the center is to help you explore the deeper meaning of life, and to reach out beyond your limits to experience new levels of freedom of body, mind and spirit.

Many people have repeatedly expressed their desire to be a part of a spiritual community, a place where the true embodiment of the teachings can be lived in a loving, caring community life. In this new approach, members will maintain their independent life and live in surrounding areas while participating in the practice of yoga, meditation, satsang and be in a supportive role of co-creating and actualizing our vision.

The present facility allows accommodation for smaller groups and the core staff. The community will be composed of independent members who will locate themselves in surrounding areas and be an integral part of the community. The surrounding area provides a wide range of lifestyle accommodations and facilities, short and long term inexpensive housing, mobile home communities and employment facilities within a 20 minute drive to the growing city of Ocala, or an hours drive to St. Augustine, Daytona Beach and Gainesville.
