Yoga Nidra is a new dimension of yoga and meditation, therapeutic and spiritual, that everyone can enjoy for personal transformation and professional training. Now you can reach out to people who are unable, ill or afraid to practice yoga due to advancing age, stiffness or obesity. These conditions are not barriers to practicing Yoga Nidra. Its versatility extends beyond the studio as a pain and stress management system into private homes and offices for individual or group sessions. Yoga Nidra allows you to offer your services to larger numbers of people who would not normally come to yoga classes.
Gurudev began teaching Yoga Nidra in the 1980s, but in 1997, he refined the Yoga Nidra teachings at the request of many who wanted to learn and provide Yoga Nidra services. A professional training manual has been developed, along with program support materials for the more than 200 teachers certified in the Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra.
As you enter the entrainment of the Yoga Nidra process as a giver, you also become the receiver and help your clients move from their beta level thinking centers into their subconscious energy (prana) body. Each time your client enters into this state consciously, you also enter this synergistic field created via Yoga Nidra. Thus there is an energetic transmission that is beyond the capacity of words. Private Yoga Nidra sessions can be integrated to expand and deepen the level of many current therapeutic applications for its accelerated self-healing power.
