Biography
Bhakti Platt is the founder and former Director of Anahata Yoga School - Amrit Yoga Institute, located in Providence, Rhode Island. A disciple of Yogi Amrit Desai, the world-renowned yoga master, Bhakti has been teaching yoga and creating positive transformation in the lives of her students for almost two decades.
Currently, Bhakti is a senior instructor and consultant in the Amrit Yoga Institute Programs Department. She is an instructor on staff of the Amrit Method Yoga Nidra Teacher Training, and Lineage of Light Programs. Bhakti helped develop, and has taught in the Amrit Yoga Level 1 & 2 Teacher Trainings.
Bhakti emphasizes an experiential style of teaching that creates dynamic results for each participant. In the tradition of Tantric Yoga, students work with energy using physical techniques such as movement, chanting, asana (postures), pranayama (breath work) and yoga nidra (a transformative relaxation technique). Combined, these powerful yogic practices clear energetic blockages; strengthen and purify your nervous system and physical body; and awaken shakti - the evolutionary energy within.
An unobstructed flow of shakti creates breakthrough shifts on all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Significant shifts of this nature are sustainable when energy (shakti) is directed by pure divine consciousnesses (shiva). The result is a rapid movement toward natural balance and harmony in all aspects of your life. You can improve your life style, health and relationships; increase your capacity to hear and follow inner knowing; achieve freedom from fears, limitations and inhibitions. The voice of your soul is revealed, and is free to be expressed as the natural and authentic self.
Bhakti delivers the power of the Amrit Yoga Lineage, and the wisdom of its techniques and teachings, in her own unique, spontaneous, fun, powerful and transformative style. Bhakti is available for classes, workshops, intensives and private sessions. Jai Bhagwan.
